About There Are No Ghosts at the Grand

THERE ARE NO GHOSTS AT THE GRAND is a first-person hotel-restoration adventure from Friday Sundae. You inherit a rotting seaside hotel in Kingswood-on-Sea with 30 days to fix it, using seven talking tool guns that flip from renovation gear into ghost-hunting weapons after dark. Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers to what players ask most about There Are No Ghosts at the Grand.
When does There Are No Ghosts at the Grand come out?
Early Access launches in December 2026 on PC via Steam and Xbox on PC. Friday Sundae has only confirmed the month, not a specific day. The Xbox Series X|S console version is confirmed but its date is still to be announced, with the full 1.0 release expected in 2027 alongside Chapters 2 and 3.
Is There Are No Ghosts at the Grand on Game Pass?
Yes. Xbox has confirmed it arrives day one with Game Pass and that it is an Xbox Play Anywhere title. Because the December Early Access launch is the PC build, day one access at launch means PC Game Pass; the console version follows later.
Is it coming to PS5?
No PlayStation version has been announced. The game was revealed at an Xbox showcase and is confirmed for PC and Xbox Series X|S only. Friday Sundae has not described it as a permanent exclusive, but nothing has been announced for PS5 or Nintendo Switch 2.
Is There Are No Ghosts at the Grand multiplayer?
No. It is a single-player game. The Steam listing carries the single-player tag, Xbox lists it as single-player, and no co-op or online mode has been announced. The 30 day / 30 night campaign is a solo mystery.
How long is the demo?
The Steam Next Fest demo contains three missions from Chapter 1 and runs roughly one to two hours depending on how much renovation you do. It includes a retro seaside arcade clean-up, botanical garden work and a Lovecraftian bunker on a small island.
Who voices MacBrushy and Chris David?
Billy Boyd, best known as Pippin in The Lord of the Rings, voices Robert C. MacBrushy, the sarcastic Scottish power tool assistant. Broadway actor Alex Brightman, of Beetlejuice and Hazbin Hotel, plays protagonist Chris David. The cast also includes Ben Starr, Elsie Lovelock and The Skints' Marcia Richards and Josh Waters Rudge.
